About FixByModel
FixByModel helps people fix the exact appliance in front of them. Enter your model number or your error code, and we show what it means, the most likely cause first, and a step-by-step fix — scoped to your machine, not a generic checklist.
Who writes this
Pages are produced and maintained by the FixByModel editorial team. We are not affiliated with any appliance manufacturer. We don’t publish fabricated author personas or AI filler bylines — every error-code page is compiled by the team against the sources listed on that page and dated when it was verified.
Our sourcing standard
Every code and procedure on this site is:
- Cross-checked against at least two sources — typically the manufacturer’s own support pages plus a reputable appliance-repair reference.
- Restated in our own words. We publish facts — what a code means, its likely causes, and the steps to fix it — never copied manual text, scanned diagrams, or re-hosted PDFs.
- Dated and traceable. Each page shows when it was verified and links to the sources we used, so you can check our work.
What we cover today
We currently document 182 error codes across washing machines (55), dishwashers (62), dryers (41) and refrigerators (24), with more brands and appliance types being added. Start from the error-code index.
Safety
Our guides are for general information. Appliance repair involves water and mains electricity. Always unplug the machine and turn off the water before servicing, follow your model’s manual, and if you are unsure — or a repair involves the pump, heater, or wiring — stop and call a qualified technician. See our terms & disclaimer.
