Dryers error codes

Dryer problems come down to three things: airflow, heat, and the door. Restricted airflow — a clogged lint filter or blocked vent — is behind a huge share of codes, including LG's D80/D90/D95 duct-blockage readings. It's worth checking first, and not only for the error: poor airflow is also the leading cause of dryer fires.

Heat faults point at the heating element, thermostat, or thermal fuse; door codes at the latch. Gas models add a gas-valve dimension, which is one to leave to a pro. Codes below are grouped by brand, each with the meaning, cause, and a verified fix.
